More lithium found in Cornwall

A geothermal energy company ideas to extract lithium together with electricity crops in Cornwall following finding record concentrations of the metal. 

Geothermal Engineering stated tests had located concentrations of lithium bigger than 250mg per litre in waters deep beneath the county – greater than in geothermal waters any place else in the world. 

It now prepared to use the waters to deliver electrical energy and warmth neighborhood houses from four prepared ability vegetation, and now also intends to put in lithium extraction devices at the vegetation. 

The organization thinks it could be able to make 4,000 tonnes of lithium a 12 months by 2026. 

That would make a likely significant contribution to the UK’s potential yearly demand from customers of about 59,000 tonnes by 2035.
