Trump Signs Hong Kong Sanctions Bill, Pivots to Criticizing Biden

WASHINGTON—President Trump claimed he signed into regulation a bipartisan sanctions invoice to punish Chinese officers above Beijing’s crackdown on Hong Kong, in an hour-extensive press convention at the White Dwelling dominated by criticisms of Joe Biden, his presumptive 2020 election rival.

The regulation calls for sanctions targeting Chinese officers who crack down on the legal rights of Hong Kong residents to free of charge speech and peaceful assembly, as perfectly as the banks that do small business with these officers.
